What's Known About Gralg (Main Character Point of View)

Gralg is a green algae that is the same (but in a different form) as a medicine that was being tested to help people with mental disabilities. For some reason the effects were so bad that it was made illegal. It causes people to go crazy and make them see someone as a person they want to kill.

As of The Green: Remnants
Gralg DOESN'T make an infected person see others as someone they want to kill, but makes the infected have blood lust and want to kill/eat anyone in sight. However, some it did help and they weren't "infected". Gralg is a green algae that is the same (but in a different form) as a medicine that was being tested to help people with mental disabilities.

A conspiracy theorist website talks about something like Gralg. Though their Gralg is a bio-weapon created by the government. And the "side effects" are the actual intended effects.

As of The Green: Spreading
Those that seem unaffected by Gralg can pass the symptoms to their children. If it is a female Gralg will infect her eggs. It is only assumed at this point that the same thing can happen to male sperm.
